6 creatively designed dining spaces

Over the course of contemporary interior designing, dining spaces have gone from full-fledged formal dining rooms to casual transitional spaces. It is not necessarily a bad thing. Most dining areas in any contemporary home – be it apartments, condos or suburbia homes – are designed as a connection between the living room and the kitchen. These dining spaces, therefore need to be designed in a way that is not too visually obstructive while creating a tonal harmony in the interior palate. Dining spaces therefore, need to have a highly synthesized furniture formation that create a holistic image for the entirety of the space. Today, we will be looking at some of the most creatively designed dining spaces in our library.

  1. A holding place

This dining space is less a formal dining area and more a multipurpose table formation that can always be used in a casual setting as well. The easygoing design of its furniture goes in tandem with the rest of the breezy but straightforward design. The light, airy color palate is reflected in the dining space as well, and the funky design of the chairs adds a playfulness to the mix.

  1. Industrial Retro

Another transitional dining space, this one is similar in formation but completely different in aesthetic. The retro style of the dining chairs combined with the industrial style of the lighting and table work beautifully against the dichotomous interior design that otherwise must have seemed pretty bland.

  1. Imposing

Maybe it is the visually impactful color scheme of this particular dining set, but instead of seeming like a transitional space, this dining space has the forceful impact of a formal dining area itself. The black and white color scheme plays a huge role in making the interior of this space memorable and impactful, and the artful furniture design only reinforces that image.

  1. Nooked in

There are some dining spaces which are not transitional at all, but very specifically designed for this purpose. The image below shows a nook beside the kitchen, whose layout has been specifically designed to fit a four person dining set. Such dining spaces are rarely found in remodels, but they do have a very fresh impact.
