But what about creating the perfect colour-material combination? Those are the hardest and most challenging to create. So today we’ll be featuring some elegant colour-material combinations for every taste!

1.Ruby red, onyx and concrete

Red and black are two of the boldest colours you’ll ever come across, and their contrasting value is perfect to glamorize any space. But what kind of material can complement them? Well, aesthetic concrete texture is a great way to beautify and complement this colour scheme. Not only does concrete provide a nice visual texture, it also brings out the best of black and red.

 2. Red, white and black velvet

If you take a look at this bedroom interior design, you’ll be instantly attracted by the stunning red undertones and white bed covers. But there’s one more material in the mix that completes the whole look, and that is the black velvet headboard. It provides a nice, subtle contrast that brings out the best in this entire combination.

 3. Wood and white

The combination of wood and whites is quite possibly the number one design darling of this world. It’s a combination that’s as timeless and comfortable as anything can be. Wooden floors, furniture and accessories look highly comfortable and stunning when paired with white accents and background. It’s one of those evergreen colour-material blends that have become a true classic.

 4. Red and chrome

Red is a bold and vivid colour, and when you use it in an interior design it adds an unfettered vivacity along with a fun vibe to the whole space. A great material to complement this colour is chrome. Chrome plated design accessories stand out against the vividness of the red backdrop and add a modernist touch to them at the same time, as shown by the chrome plated lights above the headboard of the bed in this image.

 5. Earthy browns and white laminates

Earthy brown is the amongst the top of all neutral colours. It’s neat and highly sophisticated, and white laminates (either matt or gloss) have an ability to bring out the best of this colour. They provide a nice contrast against the dark tint of this colour, which seems highly attractive and wholesome.
