5 Ways to make your home look bigger than it really is

Are you seeking more space in your home and living in cluttered places filled with unwanted stuff? The good news is that creating a spacious home is simple and interesting, as well.

Very often, creativity in the home is the key; the concepts of designing, organizing and storage may be the best way to make space look bigger. From bedrooms to living rooms and home offices, here are five design ideas that can make your house look a little bigger without excluding anything important.

1. GO FOR A LIGHT AND NEUTRAL COLOR SCHEME

One of the classic ways to make a home look spacious and bigger is to use neutral hues in the interior. Whether it is the floor, walls, ceiling, drapes, or any structure, neutral shades do wonders in the interior.  You can divide your room in the sleeping area and workspace with the addition of a neutral wooden structure as in the above image.

You can have cabinets in the wooden divider where you can store your reads and other essential documents. This design with neutral shade creates a more intimate space and will open up your bedroom visually.

2. LET IN PLENTY OF NATURAL LIGHT

Infusing your home with natural light is a great way to make your home look bigger. Opt for large open windows with a black frame that doesn’t block out the sunlight. Take the idea from the above image.

3. CLUTTER-FREE SOLUTION

Clutter in the home makes your house look untidy and compact as well. So, if you want more open space in your home, you need to focus on clutter-free solutions. And, the best way to make your room free from clutter is to have enough storage system.

You can choose the stylish cupboard design attached with a table and open shelves. In this way, you can store things in it while making space look stylish as well. Use white hue to make the area look brighter.

4. A VISUALLY INTERESTING ENTERTAINMENT WALL

The entertainment wall in the home is the spaces that not only make your area look trendy but also help you store things in style. Use the stone look for the TV wall to make it a statement piece of entre house. Go for stylish cabinets as in the above image to store things and to display your decoratives.

5. MAXIMIZE YOUR FURNITURE ARRANGEMENT

Sometimes furniture can take a lot of space and make the area look tight. To avoid that, use furniture, such as a dining table that has simple cross legs as this will make ground space look more open. Further, you can opt for built-ins to maximize the space for a neat and clean look.

Separate the cooking area from the dining area with a transparent glass as this will make your home look bigger and stylish as well. You can also use pendant lights above the dining table and LEDs on the ceiling for contemporary design.

Take the ideas from the above images to design your home in a better way that makes the interior look spacious and brighter.
