You Can Make Your Home A Tropical Havana

What do you think when you hear the word ‘Tropical Havana?’ Many people think of sunshine, sandy beaches and palm trees – a virtual Hawaii of sorts that exists in everyone’s imagination. So how about you bring that virtual paradise in your own home interior designs? Here are 5 simple ways you can easily emulate this kind of ambience in your interior designs.

1. A golden ambience

The very first thing that comes to mind when you think of a Tropical Havana is a sunny, sandy beach, so that is the first thing you have to evoke in your interior designs. You can do so by incorporating a golden ambience in your space. This basically means that you should go for a warm temperature of lighting hue instead of a cool one.

2. Warm colors

There’s no place of cool colors in a tropical Havana themed home interior design – aside from the occasional accent of blue. You should use largely warm colors, so that the golden lighting can bring out the best of this color scheme. Yellows, oranges, pinks and browns are a nice base palate. You can blend in a lot of textures to truly set off your color scheme.

3. Beachy wood

Wood is a quintessential material choice while you’re trying to emulate the Tropical Havana theme. You don’t have to use it in a large concentration, but you do have to make sure that the spaces where it is used are very prominent. It can be the floor, the shelving or even a feature furniture piece.

4. Some indoor plants

Palm fronds are another quintessential part of the dream Tropical Havana. Since you cannot possibly bring in the originals, you have to make-do with light green accents in the form of some indoor plants. You have to strategically place them throughout the space so that they’re visible without hindering the layout of the space.

5. Just a small amount

You can even evoke such a thematic vibe in a small or otherwise overlooked area of your home. The bathroom is a great example of such a space. You can use a small amount of wooden accents, some warm lighting and a few fresh looking planters to get the right aesthetic across even such an enclosed space.
